The changed weather conditions have compromised quality and yield of the new plantation. The SA situation should improve towards the end of the month. The weather had a drastic change over the past weekend, from extremely hot days to cooler days with constant rain. Temperature ranging between 10 to 16 degrees overnight and 21 to 27 degrees during the day.
The 100mm rain we had over the weekend has flooded the youngest plantation and damaged the plants. We are assessing the plants health to determine the extent of the loss.
Quality is good
Due to the weather South Australian quality and yield of tomatoes has been compromised for the weeks ahead. If the weather conditions remain as forecast quality should improve towards the end of the month.
