The quality of the tomatoes will be compromised.Heavy rain early in the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 13°C – 25°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 11°C - 16°C.
Small volumes harvested this week.
Quality will be compromised due to the excessive rainfall over the past 72 hours.
Earlier this week we received 50mm of rain, which has ceased our harvest schedule. As a consequence of the excessive rain the quality of the tomatoes will be compromised. We will obtain a better understanding of the full extent of rain affected plants and tomatoes once we are able access the patches. We advise that you take extra care and focus on stock rotation to manage tomato supplies that will be affected impacting not only quality but also shelf life.
