Capsicum
Capsicum, often referred to as “peppers”, while related to chillies, capsicums are much milder and sweeter tasting.
Green capsicums are picked when ripe and have an all-over green appearance.
Red Capsicum, also known as sweet peppers, they are closely related to hot chillies, but sweeter tasting and not hot to eat.
Yellow capsicums achieve their wonderful colour simply because they are left on the plant longer before picking.
Different coloured capsicums vary in flavour. Green capsicums are the sharpest and yellow capsicum’s are the sweetest.
