Hot days, maintaining picking strategy. Superb quality tomatoes.Hot air mass from the north has kept the southern region with overnight temperatures averaging 21 degrees and daily temperatures averaging 30 degrees.
We continued the previous week’s picking schedule due to the hot weather. We are on full harvest of the greenhouse tomatoes and we are picking good quantities.
The greenhouse tomatoes are superb in quality, the high temperatures haven’t affected the tomatoes. The semi-hydroponic haven’t set their flowers as expected due to the hot weather. All indications for the semi-hydroponic first harvest are leading towards excellent quality fruit slightly smaller in size.
The focus has been on harvesting and packing. Due to the hot weather we are monitoring the growth of the plants and adjusting the greenhouses temperature.
